A Tail at a Time is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization

Our group takes as many animals as we can from the city kill shelters and from the cold streets of NYC where many are  abandoned. Our cats and kittens are in foster homes waiting for their purrmanent home.
Please think about becoming a virtual foster or sponsor.  You can donate as little or as much as you want on a monthly basis or bi-monthly basis. You can choose a cat to sponsor and we will send you photos and updates of how your sponsor is doing and when they are adopted. Just $2.00 a day can feed one cat.  


Your donation will provide food and litter. With many of our cats from the city shelters we receive them with upper respiratory infections. Donating $5.00 a day helps pay for expensive medications that saves lives.

ADOPTION PROCESS

1. Look at our "Adoptable Animals" and select an animal
2. Send an email to adopt@atailatatime.org
3.FIll out the application form

Approval usually takes 24 to 48 hours.

We will deliver your new pet to your home and give you tips on how to care for your new friend.

Adoption fee is $125.00 for one or $225.00 for two

The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, testing for fiv-felv, and 30 days pet health insurance. All of our cats are negative for fiv/felv unless  stated in their bio.

!Important Note: Kittens need to be adopted with another cat or kitten unless there is one in the home already or a cat friendly dog.

Named Whisper because she has these soft little meows.  She loves attention!   "I will happily snuggle next to you on the sofa while you read or watch TV. I enjoy running and playing with toys.
FOSTER AN ANIMAL  and you can help us to save an animal's life   There is never enough space in the city's shelters and unfortunately there are too many owners abandoning their pets on the streets or at these shelters. Perfectly healthy, adoptable animals are euthanised every day.  When you foster you help us buy extra time for an animal until we can find a permenant home for them.

Fostering will bring the joy and excitement of caring for a pet without the permanent commitment!  All we ask is for you to provide food, love and a safe home while we find a home for them.
